Full-time Job Opening: Wellness Coordinator
Description: This position will involve working as a wellness coordinator for The Wellness Connection, Inc., a company that contracts health and wellness services to corporations in the Salt Lake Valley. You will be working on-site at BD Medical Systems in Sandy, UT. Some of the job responsibilities include: teaching group exercise classes, planning incentive programs based on the pillars of wellness, scheduling lunch and learns, organizing sports tournaments, conducting personal health consultations, administrative responsibilities, etc. This is a great opportunity to be part of the exciting field of corporate health and wellness!
Location: BD Medical Systems (9450 South State Street, Sandy, UT)
Job Specifications: Hours: 40 hours/week Compensation: $35,000+ (starting salary based on qualifications & experience)
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Essential Functions:
- Schedule and conduct new member onboarding
- Conduct new member out-reach
- Monthly administrative responsibilities
- Assist members in safe and effective exercise form
- Teach group exercise classes
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly fitness center by cleaning equipment and re-racking weights
- Perform fitness assessments (posture, blood pressure check, body composition)
- Support, teach and encourage members to meet fitness goals
- Conduct one-on-one program consultations
- Develop and implement healthy behavior programs
- Organize Lunch & Learns, 5Ks, Health Fairs and variety of other events
- Organize intramural sports tournaments
- Plan and implement the Sandy Total Wellness incentive program
- Work as a team with other departments
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness, Exercise Physiology, Corporate Wellness, Health Promotion, or related degree
Skills/Certifications:
- Strong leadership skills

- AED/CPR/First Aid certification required
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Customer service oriented
- Basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- ACSM, NASM, or NSCA/Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist preferred, not required
- Group Exercise Certification
- Experience in teaching group exercise classes such as strength training, aerobics, etc.
- Good knowledge of strength and cardiovascular training principles
- Good knowledge of basic nutrition principles
- Ability to provide personal strength, fitness, and nutrition programs
- Good knowledge of working with special populations
- Hard and honest worker
